Two people were arrested by the Bath Village Police Department after an officer on patrol spotted both individuals standing near a motorcycle with switched license plates on West Steuben Street.
An investigation determined the motorcycle was stolen from the city of Corning and that the two individuals were allegedly in possession of it. 41-year-old Victoria Morgan was charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property as well as misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance after she was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
43-year-old Robert Wright, of Campbell, fled the scene and was arrested two days later without incident. Wright is charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property and misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration. Wright was also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was allegedly found to be in possession of Suboxone and Hydrocodone.
Wright was sent to the Steuben County Jail following his arraignment, while Morgan was released on an appearance ticket
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
