On Monday, at approximately 8:55 a.m., Yates County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Six Corners Road and Glenn Road in the Town of Barrington. Emergency crews, including Dundee Fire Department, Dundee Ambulance, Yates EMS, and the Office of Emergency Services, assisted at the scene.
The investigation determined that a vehicle driven by Gerald Gascon failed to yield the right of way to a southbound van. Gascon’s car struck the van, causing it to leave the west side of the roadway.
The van’s driver, Sara Raplee, sustained a hand injury and was transported by Yates EMS to Geneva General Hospital for treatment. Gascon was evaluated on scene by Dundee medics but declined treatment.
Gascon was issued a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in Barrington Town Court to answer to the charge.
