The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has released details of a rollover crash that happened last month on Lake Road in the Town of Ontario.
Deputies say the crash occurred around 7:15 a.m. on July 28, when a 2012 Jeep driven by 27-year-old Parker Patton of Ontario went off the north side of the road. The vehicle rolled, hit a telephone pole, and caused heavy damage to both the Jeep and a nearby crop field.
Investigators say Patton moved unsafely from his lane and was unable to regain control. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Western Wayne Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
On August 24, deputies made contact with Patton and issued him a traffic ticket for moving unsafely from a lane.
Responding agencies included Ontario Fire, Western Wayne Ambulance, Ontario Ambulance, Wayne County ALS, the Ontario Town Water Department, and Sullivan’s Towing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
