The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Bloomfield woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at Eastview Mall.
Deputies responded around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday to Von Maur, located at Eastview Mall Drive in Victor, for a reported shoplifter.
Deputies say 41-year-old Jessica Archer, of Bloomfield, concealed merchandise valued at $226 and attempted to leave the store without paying. She was stopped and taken into custody.
Archer was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to answer the charge in Victor Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
