The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Bath man following a domestic incident earlier this week.
Deputies say 31-year-old Alexander Hulfish, of Bath, was arrested on August 19 after deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident at his residence.
According to investigators, Hulfish unlawfully restrained another person, prevented them from calling 911 for help, and endangered the welfare of a child who was present.
Hulfish was charged with:
- Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree
- Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child
Hulfish was arraigned in Steuben County’s Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
