ServU Credit Union will host a free “Gear Up for School” community event at its Penn Yan branch on Wednesday from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
The family-friendly celebration will take place at 102 Delano Place in Penn Yan, across from the Keuka Lake Outlet, behind Casa Mezcal Restaurant, and next to Carey’s Lumber.
Activities and resources include:
Car seat safety checks with the Yates County Sheriff’s Department (2:30–4:30 p.m.)
Free ice cream from Seneca Farms
Free school supplies (while supplies last)
Face painting
A chance to meet Smarty the Owl
New account specials for families
Organizers say the event is designed to provide back-to-school support while offering a fun afternoon for the whole community.
