The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 30-year-old woman following an incident at the Byrne Dairy on County Road 50 on Monday evening.
Deputies say Alyna Lindenau was taken into custody around 7:15 p.m. after an investigation into a suspicious person complaint. During the investigation, Lindenau was allegedly found in possession of illegal drugs and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
After being issued an appearance ticket, deputies say Lindenau was transported by EMS to a local hospital for evaluation. While there, she allegedly struck a nurse and was later charged with second-degree assault.
Lindenau was released from the hospital and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she is being held to await centralized arraignment. She is due back in Clifton Springs Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
