Steuben County authorities say 29-year-old Blair Devine of Bath was arrested after a reported disturbance at the Steuben County Department of Social Services.
Officials allege Devine engaged in fighting and disruptive behavior in the DSS lobby last Friday and intentionally struck and kicked two responding officers, causing minor injuries. The officers were treated and released at a local medical facility.
Devine faces multiple charges, including assault in the second degree, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, harassment, and disorderly conduct. She was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
