The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Town of Ontario resident on a warrant issued by Walworth Town Court.
Deputies say 39-year-old Ryan Lawliss was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for failure to appear on a petit larceny charge. Lawliss was apprehended at the Wayne County Jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges.
He was arraigned at the county’s Centralized Arraignment Part and released.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
