Seneca Falls police have charged a Geneva woman in connection with a theft at a local business.
Officers say 53-year-old Tammy Whitfield was arrested on Wednesday following an investigation into the incident. She is accused of stealing from the business, though police did not release details about the items taken.
Whitfield was processed at the Seneca Falls Police Department and released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
