Steuben Co. Honors 42 Plow Operators for Perfect Winter Response

SHARE NOW

The Steuben County Department of Public Works is recognizing 42 of its snow plow operators for a remarkable achievement during the 2024-2025 winter season: a 100% call-out response rate.

Officials say that during one of the toughest winters in recent memory, these 42 employees answered every call for service—regardless of time, weather, or road conditions. The Department says the workers’ dedication, professionalism, and reliability helped ensure the safety of residents across the county.

Snow plow operators often work overnight, through holidays, and in severe winter conditions—not for recognition, but out of commitment to public safety. While the County thanks all snow removal staff for their hard work, this group of 42 is being specifically honored for meeting every call without fail.

The Department extended its heartfelt thanks and congratulations to these operators, calling their effort a new standard of excellence in Steuben County.
