The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Canandaigua woman has been arrested on two felony bench warrants.
Deputies report that 29-year-old Alyssa Medina was taken into custody just before 1 p.m. Monday by the Sheriff’s Warrant Unit. The warrants, issued by Ontario County Court, were for failure to appear on previous charges of felony criminal mischief and felony driving while impaired by drugs.
Medina was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she is being held for arraignment. She is scheduled to return to Ontario County Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
