New York State Police in Ithaca are asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals who broke into an unoccupied hotel earlier this summer and caused damage inside.
Troopers say the incident happened around 3:08 a.m. on July 5 at the former Trip Hotel Ithaca, located on Sheraton Drive in the village of Lansing. The building was vacant at the time.
Once inside, the two suspects damaged property before leaving the scene. Surveillance footage captured images of both individuals, who had most of their faces covered.
One suspect is described as a Black male, shirtless, wearing dark shorts, black socks, and light-colored slide sandals.
The second suspect is believed to be a white or Hispanic female, wearing a black tank top, black shorts, and flip flops. She has a distinctive tattoo of angel wings across her back. Investigators say the male suspect was heard calling her by the name “Sarah.”

Anyone with information is asked to call New York State Police at (607) 561-7400. Case NY2500601235. All photos provided by New York State Police)
