A 28-year-old Penn Yan man is facing multiple charges following two separate domestic incidents involving alleged violations of court orders.
Ryan Thomas was arrested on Saturday after investigators determined he had violated active orders of protection in both cases. According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Thomas had unlawful contact with a protected party during each incident.
He is charged with first-degree criminal contempt, two counts of aggravated family offense, second-degree aggravated harassment, and two counts of second-degree criminal contempt.
Thomas was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail, where he awaits arraignment in CAP court.
The investigations are ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
