A Farmington man is facing charges after crashing his vehicle into a tree in the Town of Victor on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on Lane Road around 5:00 p.m. Investigators say Jeffrey Larue was driving west at a high rate of speed when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Deputies determined Larue was intoxicated and arrested him for driving while intoxicated. He was also issued speeding tickets, moving from lane unsafely, and DWI.
Larue was released and is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
