A Steuben County man is facing serious charges following an investigation into a reported rape in the Town of Prattsburgh.
According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Emil Aliev, of County Route 78, is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 13 and causing physical harm. The incident allegedly occurred in Prattsburgh.
Aliev has been charged with Rape in the First Degree, a class B felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and released on $7,500 bail.
The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
