Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Timothy Furman of Galen after a traffic stop in the Village of Clyde.
Officers reportedly stopped Furman for operating a vehicle with an expired inspection. During the stop, deputies determined Furman was allegedly driving while intoxicated.
A breath test at the Sheriff’s Office showed a blood alcohol concentration of .17 percent, more than twice the legal limit.
Furman was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC of .08 or higher, and operating an uninspected vehicle.
He was processed and released and is scheduled to appear in Galen Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
