Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is expanding its reach in Ontario County with a new retail location in Geneva. The grand opening is set for Friday, August 8, at 381 Hamilton Street, in the former Tops Friendly Markets space at the Geneva Shopping Center. Doors will open at 9 a.m. following a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Goodwill team members and local community leaders.
To celebrate the opening, the first 100 shoppers will receive a $10 Goodwill gift card, and all rewards program members will earn double points throughout the day.
This new store marks Goodwill’s 14th retail location across its 20-county service area in upstate New York, complementing existing stores and donation centers in Victor and Canandaigua. The Geneva location offers ample parking and a wide selection of high-quality secondhand and new merchandise, providing greater convenience and access to shoppers across the Finger Lakes region.
Goodwill President and CEO Jennifer Lake shared, “We are thrilled to join the Geneva community and give a new life to this wonderful retail location. When you donate or shop at Goodwill, you’re embracing value, versatility, and sustainability. All proceeds from sales support important community programs such as 211/LIFE LINE, the 988 Suicide Hotline, sustainability initiatives, and more.”
Donations will be accepted daily starting July 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., continuing through the grand opening. Regular store and donation hours beginning August 8 will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
