A 19-year-old youthful offender from Dundee and a 17-year-old juvenile from Himrod are facing charges following a break-in at Dundee Central School.
According to investigators with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on June 10 around 10:41 p.m., when the two teens allegedly entered the school through a locked door using a stolen access card.
The 19-year-old was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Starkey Town Court. The 17-year-old juvenile was referred to Yates County Probation on charges of criminal trespass and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
