A 20-year-old Savannah woman was charged with petit larceny following an investigation into a reported theft involving fishing equipment.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Melody Fish after she was allegedly caught stealing several fishing poles and other gear belonging to another individual. According to investigators, the victim had previously warned Fish not to use the equipment and later observed her taking the items without permission.
Fish is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
