Following a months-long investigation into drug sales in the City of Canandaigua, local police have announced the arrests of three individuals and are actively seeking two more in connection with crack cocaine distribution in the area.
According to the City of Canandaigua Police Department, the arrests were made as part of a coordinated effort with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Geneva Police Department.
Arrests Made:
- On April 8, 31-year-old Queshon Gross of Rochester was arrested and charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. He is accused of selling crack cocaine in the city. Gross was arraigned at the Ontario County Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP), and additional charges may be pending.
- On April 15, 29-year-old Darnell Rojas-Robinson, also of Rochester, was arrested on the same charge. He was also processed and arraigned at CAP.
- On June 18, 54-year-old John Grier of Canandaigua was arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. Police say Grier also sold crack cocaine within the city. He, too, was arraigned and may face further charges.
Still at Large:
Police say charges are pending against Marshall J. Henderson and Timothy J. Lovett for similar offenses. Authorities are encouraging both individuals to turn themselves in. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to contact the Canandaigua Police Department at (585) 396-5035.
The investigation remains active, and officials say more arrests could follow as the case develops.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
