A Canandaigua man was hospitalized Thursday morning following a single-car crash in Canandaigua.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene at 5373 County Road 32, where they found that the driver, identified as 40-year-old Russell Lindquist, had lost consciousness and crashed his vehicle into an embankment.
Lindquist suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Thompson Hospital by the Canandaigua Emergency Squad for treatment. The Cheshire Fire Department also responded to the scene to provide assistance.
Authorities issued Lindquist a citation for failure to keep right.
The cause of his loss of consciousness was not known.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
