Penn Yan Police have arrested 52-year-old Tino Rivas on a felony drug warrant issued out of the City of Elmira.
According to police, officers located Rivas at a housing complex in the village and took him into custody without incident. The warrant charged Rivas with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a Class A felony.
Rivas was transported by Penn Yan Police to a designated location, where he was turned over to the Elmira Police Department.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
