Marcellus Woman Charged with DWI After Crash in Brutus

SHARE NOW

A Marcellus woman is facing multiple charges following a one-car crash in Cayuga County.

Sheriff Brian Schenck reports that 41-year-old Shannon Crader was arrested in the early morning hours of June 29 and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (First Offense), Aggravated DWI – Per Se, and other traffic violations.

Deputies responded to East Brutus Street Road just before midnight on June 28 after a vehicle went off the road, struck a mailbox and a culvert pipe. Crader, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was found to be intoxicated and taken into custody.

She was processed at the Public Safety Building and released to appear in Brutus Town Court on July 8 at 7 p.m.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
