A 41-year-old Interlaken woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation into an incident involving an unsupervised child.
Seneca County Sheriff Deputies arrested Michelle Liberatore on Thursday for a June 9 incident in which a young child was reportedly found outside and unsupervised at a residence in the Village of Interlaken.
Following an investigation, deputies determined that Liberatore was responsible for supervising the child at the time. She was taken into custody without incident and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.
Liberatore is scheduled to appear in the Town of Covert Court on August 8 at 1:30 p.m. to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
