An 83-year-old Geneva man is facing charges after Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested him early Saturday morning for allegedly driving while impaired by drugs.
According to Sheriff Tim Thompson, deputies encountered Maurice Gaglianese shortly after midnight on July 5, when he was found parked on a roadway in the Town of Waterloo. Following an investigation and field sobriety tests, Gaglianese was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a misdemeanor.
Gaglianese was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court on August 6 to respond to the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
