A Bath woman is facing drug charges following a traffic stop for failure to use a turn signal in the village of Bath.
During the traffic stop on West Washington Street on Wednesday afternoon, Bath Police Officers suspected that “criminal activity was afoot.” After a search of the vehicle, 32-year-old Amanda Sprayberry was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that Sprayberry was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Sprayberry was released on an appearance ticket for Bath Village Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
