The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports a Lyons woman has been charged in connection with a theft at the Dollar General in the Town of Lyons,.
Deputies arrested 35-year-old Connie Cotturone of Canal Street after an investigation into the alleged larceny. Authorities say Cotturone and another woman took merchandise valued at $120.50 and left the store without paying.
Cotturone was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. She was later released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court to answer the charge of petit larceny.
The investigation into the second suspect is ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
