An investigation conducted by the Ontario County Special Investigation Division resulted in the Friday arrest of a Farmington man.
Leonel Melendez-Rodriguez was taken into custody without incident on State Route 332 in Farmington. He was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Melendez-Rodriguez was released on an appearance ticket for Farmington Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
