A 17-year-old from Penn Yan was charged with disorderly conduct and trespass following an incident at Dundee Central School.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Department, officers were called to the school on June 20th for the report of a male attempting to gain entry into the building. An investigation determined the unidentified teen was alleged to have trespassed on school property and made threatening statements in the presence of other people.
A summons was issued to the teen to appear in Starkey Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
