An Ithaca man was taken into custody this week by State Police on charges stemming from arrest warrants.
Anthony Morehouse was charged with felony robbery and criminal contempt, along with misdemeanor criminal mischief, for an alleged incident that happened last December 8.
In December, Troopers were dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute at a bar on North Triphammer Road in Lansing. During a dispute that turned physical, a victim reported that Morehouse allegedly took the victim’s cell phone, AirPods, and cigarettes and prevented the victim from calling 911. Morehouse is also accused of violating an Order of Protection by making physical contact with the victim.
On Tuesday, Morehouse was located at a Lansing motel and taken into custody. He was later transported to the Tompkins County Jail for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
