The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arerst of a transient after responding to the Sterling Pines Trailer Park in Sterling for a domestic incident.
During their investigation, deputies determined that 36-year-old Jody Labelle allegedly violated a Full Stay Away Order of Protection. It was also determined that Labelle had previously been convicted of violating the same Order of Protection and was currently on probation because of this. Labelle was arrested on a Felony charge of aggravated family offense and a misdemeanor charge of criminal contempt.
Following arraignment, Labelle was sent to Cayuga County Jail without bail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
