Penn Yan Police have charged a Penn Yan man with criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
It is alleged that Michael Brown entered the home of another village resident without their permission. The 24-year-old is accused of breaking through a door after being told he was not welcome at the residence when the owner was not home.
Brown was held at the Yates County Jail for his CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
