A Lewis County, New York man was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office at a residence on Maple Street in the town of Genoa.
Earlier this month, deputies responded to that residence for a report of an unwanted man inside of a home. It was determined that Austin Partridge had allegedly gone into a home, caused damage, and stole some clothing from the victim. The 24-year-old was later charged with criminal trespass, petit larceny, and criminal mischief.
At arraignment, Partridge was released on an appearance ticket for town of Geona Court. A Full Stay Away Order of Protection was granted to the victim.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
