It’s one of the biggest lacrosse rivalries in New York and now, it’s crossed political lines. The Canandaigua Grey Wolves boys team defeated the Victor Blue Devils in the Section 5 Class B championship game 11-10, sending the Wolves to the state tournament. The Finger Lakes Times reports Victor Supervisor Jack Marren lost a bet on the game with his Canandaigua counterpart Jared Simpson, so Marren will wear a Grey Wolves jersey at the board’s next meeting. Canandaigua lost to Garden City in the state title game at Hobart Saturday. By the way, the Victor girls won their fourth straight state title, beating 15-time state champion Garden City at SUNY Cortland Saturday.
