A domestic incident in the town of Benton on Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Penn Yan man.
It is alleged that Anthony Cranmer pushed another person during an argument, causing the victim to fall and suffer head and arm injuries. The alleged incident also occurred in front of two children. Cranmer was charged with assault, harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Cranmer was held at the Yates County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
The Penn Yan Police Department and Penn Yan Ambulance assisted the Yates County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
