A shoplifting complaint at Von Maur in the town of Victor resulted in the arrest of a Rochester woman by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Amelia Nugent is alleged to have passed all points of sale without rendering payment for $138 worth of merchandise. The 18-year-old was charged with petit larceny.
Nugent is due back in the town of Victor Court at a later date to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
