A Fleming man was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on a petit larceny charge.
On March 7th, the Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a larceny complaint at the Pit Stop in Fleming. During the investigation, it was determined 43-year-old Matthew McKay had stolen a 25 ounce can of Budweiser beer. McKay was arrested on Saturday after being located by deputies and taken into custody for the committing the alleged act.
Following arraignment, McKay was sent to Cayuga County Jail due to having multiple similar open cases
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
