Auburn Man Arrested on Felony Criminal Contempt

SHARE NOW

The report of a fight in progress early Friday morning in the city of Auburn resulted in the arrest of an Auburn man on a felony charge.

Police were dispatched to the area of McMaster Street at around 1 a.m. Friday for a reported fight in progress. It was reported that the involved parties had verbally threatened to stab and shoot each other.

During the investigation, officers learned of a stay-away order of protection between a man and a woman at the scene of the fight. Officers reportedly observed the man, Timothy Agee, the Second, speak directly to the protected party under the order of protection.

Agee was taken into custody on a felony charge of criminal contempt and was held at Cayuga County Jail pending arraignment.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
