A Summerhill man was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant following the investigation into a two-car accident.
On May 24th, at approximately 11:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Fillmore Glen State Park for an accident. Upon arrival, deputies located a man on the ground near a truck who appeared to be sleeping. An investigation determined that the man, Moses Geri, was driving the truck while intoxicated and had been involved in the accident. Geri was taken to Auburn Community Hospital, where he submitted to a blood draw. Deputies applied for a warrant for DWI-1st offense due to no prior convictions.
Three days later, Geri was arrested on the warrant. Following arraignment, Geri was released to appear in Moravia Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
