SHARE NOW

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Moravia man following the investigation into a traffic complaint.

It was reported that Moses Geri, of Moravia, had allegedly been driving recklessly after leaving the Watering Hole Bar and Grill in the town of Summerhill. Geri’s reckless driving reportedly caused rocks from the driveway to hit the building. Deputies were able to locate the car Geri was driving on Skinner Hill Road. He was reportedly found hunched over the steering wheel and unresponsive.

Deputies were able to awaken Geri and during the investigation, it was found he had been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Geri provided a breath sample with a reading of 0.13% BAC and was charged with DWI and DWI with a BAC above 0.08%.

Geri will appear in Moravia Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
