Canandaigua Woman Accused of Switching Price Tags on Target Merchandise

SHARE NOW

A Canandaigua woman has been banned from all Eastview Mall properties following her arrest on Monday.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest of Kelly Alvermann stems from an ongoing investigation where the 59-year-old was identified as a suspect. Alvermann is accused of exiting a Target store, passing all points of sale without rendering proper payment on merchandise with switched tags.

Alvermann was charged with petit larceny and falsifying business records. She will appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
