A traffic stop in the town of Ovid resulted in an Ovid man being arrested.
According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest of Colten Thompson stems from an incident where he was initially pulled over for speeding. After an investigation, Thompson was taken into custody without incident.
Thompson was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. Thompson was released on an appearance ticket.
New York State Police assisted on the scene.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
