A Rock Stream resident was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop in the village of Penn Yan.
A DMV check of the vehicle Melissa Greene was operating revealed her New York State operating privileges were suspended for failure to answer a summons out of the Town of Lyons. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with Greene, who was cited for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Greene was released on an appearance ticket for Penn Yan Village Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
