The report of a person damaging items inside a home resulted in the arrest of a Cayuga County man.
Members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a home in the town of Victory and, through their investigation, found that John Burns has allegedly broken property belonging to a family member.
The 28-year-old Burns was charged with criminal mischief.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
