A traffic stop in the town of Fayette conducted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of an Ovid resident.
After conducting an official investigation, 71-year-old Kathleen Abbott was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Abbott was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Fayette Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
