An Ontario County man was arrested Saturday on a bench warrant issued out of Canandaigua Town Court.
The warrant for Richard Sheffer was issued after he allegedly failed to appear in court on the charge of aggravated unlicensed operator of a motor vehicle.
The 35-year-old Victor man was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment and was released on an appearance ticket for Canandaigua Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
