The manslaughter trial of an Ontario County man charged in the death of his girlfriend’s 2-year-old son, began with opening statements in Ontario County Court yesterday.
Police arrested 25-year old Jarrid Mix of Geneva in 2023 on an indictment warrant for first- and second-degree manslaughter. Police say the boy died on September 8th, 2022, from “severe internal injuries” sustained while he was in Mix’s care.
Defense attorneys say the Monroe County Medical Examiner ruled the boy’s death as “undetermined.”
