An inmate at the Ontario County Jail has been charged with assault.
It is alleged that on Tuesday, Marus St Denis intended to cause physical injury to another inmate and punched him in the face and head repeatedly causing physical injury.
St Denis will answer the charge in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
