The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Town of Phoenix woman on a warrant.
The arrest of Michele Vargason stems from an incident where she was convicted of harassment and criminal mischief in Tyre Town Court. Vargason was given a conditional discharge through the court in which she allegedly violated by failing to pay restitution, fees, and fines through the Seneca County Probation Department. Varagason had been placed into custody by an agency in Onondaga County for an unrelated incident and then transferred into the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office for the warrant.
Vargason was processed and turned over to the Seneca County Jail where she was held until arraignment in the Seneca County CAP Court to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
